* Not all girls play Sims 2, or if they do, not all stick with only that genre. And guys play Sims 2 too. * Not all girls play with Barbies or Bratz dolls or whatever horrid toys they have out now. Also, I don't know where you get the ridiculous idea that all girls dislike anything to do with war or fighting. Take the American Revolution for example, a young woman named Deborah Samson wanted to help fight for independence, but, as she was female, she was not allowed. So she disguised herself as a man (much like the story of Mulan), called herself Robert Shirtliffe, and enlisted in the military. The point is, over the years, as women were not allowed to fight, this silly stereotype came about that women were disinterested in this type of thing. And seriously, girls play fighting games too. And girls pvp. As I said before, in this game there is no difference between a guy and a girl. One can play the game just as well as the other. |

Sorry, liking violence doesn't make you a tomboy. Maybe in some repressed society. Here in the states, nah. You can enjoy violence and still be very feminine. Check out ancient Rome and their gladiator arenas. It wasn't all guys at that mass orgy checking out the violence. I seem to recall that it wasn't just men checking out public executions. Edit: Tomboys is a stereotype for girls who are in an age where they question the having to like girly shit. It's the byproduct of repression. Women were repressed into thinking they had to like certain things, or something was wrong with them. So you have shit like girls liking dolls, shopping and cooking. Alternately, men are never allowed to cry in front of anyone or show emotion other than anger, rage, etc. If one is educated, they would take a step back and not generalize, especially about something they don't know much about. You profess not coming across many gamers, yet you generalize them heavily. Your generalizations are the same that anyone makes about any previously repressed genre of society until it gets to the point where it's accepted as common knowledge to be the contrary. Either catch up with the times or don't. Up to you. Kthxbye. Last edited by Alex Morningstar; Mar 14, 2008 at 08:41 PM // 20:41.. |

Species: the major subdivision of a genus or subgenus, regarded as the basic category of biological classification, composed of related individuals that resemble one another, are able to breed among themselves, but are not able to breed with members of another species. Gender: the properties that distinguish organisms on the basis of their reproductive roles. In simpler terms, even though we are different genders, we are both the same species. When a girl spends more money on her digital camera than her headset for Vent.
She is NOT a gamer. When a girl spends more time making signs for guild members than she does contributing to guild activities, she is not a gamer. When a girl got from levels 1-max by batting her eyes and reminding everyone that she IS in fact a girl, she is NOT a gamer. There are names for them though; WH*RES. Wh*res who buy nintendo//retro gaming panties and t-shirts at American Eagle and pose in them on myspace that haven't even PLAYED an original NES. Their first gaming system was probably a gamecube or PC and they probably STARTED 'gaming' in WoW. (Which to anyone who knows better, is training wheels for MMORPGs.) Wh*res who buy nintendo controller belt buckles and power gloves again to pose in them. Wh*res who say they like Final Fantasy 7 the best and havent played any. Wh*res who win every possible arguement by accusing every other girl on the internet of being the REAL wh*re, and that they're not because they're cool and fun and their boyfriend is always close by.
